Calvario di Saint Thegonnec is a unique pilgrimage path in France. Featuring fourteen mini-chapels along its length, it was constructed in 1877 to commemorate the death of Saint Eon, the area's local saint. The journey starts at the Cemetery of Loubajac, or the start of the Way of the Cross, and finishes at the ornate Chapel of Saint Thegonnec. Along the path, pilgrims can find eight wooden crucifixes, five iron crosses and a large mural that honors the life of Saint Eon. As you traverse the pastoral path, take in the wonderful views of pastures, meadows, and traditional Breton houses. For a more spiritual experience, arrive during the annual pilgrimage on August 16th and 17th. Don't forget to stop to admire the locals' traditional annual celebrations in the chapels along the way.
