Calle Hatunrumiyoc is a narrow historic street leading from central Cusco toward the San Blas neighborhood. Its defining feature is a long Inca wall of precisely cut polygonal stones, incorporated into later colonial architecture and now bordering Cusco’s Archbishop’s Palace and Museum of Religious Art. The celebrated Twelve-Angled Stone sits within this masonry, its complex edges fitting neighboring blocks without mortar and illustrating the technical refinement of Inca stonework. Close views emphasize joints, weathered textures, and irregular geometry, while angled light brings out the wall’s subtle relief. The street also captures a hallmark of Cusco: Spanish colonial buildings resting directly on monumental Inca foundations.
