Cala Galdana is a broad, horseshoe-shaped bay on Menorca’s south coast, beside the resort area of La Serpentona in the municipality of Ferreries. Its pale sand and sheltered turquoise water lie between high limestone cliffs covered with Mediterranean pines, while the Algendar ravine opens toward the sea behind the beach. The contrast between wooded rock, bright water and white resort buildings gives the cove its recognizable layered appearance. Elevated viewpoints around the bay reveal its near-symmetrical curve and the scale of the cliffs; from shore level, reflections are strongest when the water is calm. The Camí de Cavalls coastal route also connects the area with the less developed coves of Cala Mitjana and Cala Macarella.
