📍 Spain
Cala Banys is a small rocky cove on Lloret de Mar’s Costa Brava shoreline, just southwest of the town’s main beach. Unlike the resort’s broad sandy waterfront, it is defined by exposed rocks, a sheltered inlet and slopes covered in Mediterranean vegetation. The coastal footpath connects it with the nearby Dona Marinera sculpture, a tribute to Lloret’s seafaring heritage, and continues toward the hilltop Castle of Sant Joan. For photographs, the distinctive scene is the meeting of textured rock, clear Mediterranean water and the waterfront bar’s terraces, with the enclosing headlands giving a sense of intimacy close to the busy town.
