Cajon del Azul is a charming natural area located in the foothills of the Andes Mountains, in El Bolsón, Argentina. It is a great destination for hikers, nature lovers and photographers. The park offers spectacular views of the Andes and the surrounding alpine foothills, as well as a wide variety of plant species, including diverse evergreen forests and an array of color provided by the flowering plants. The 300-metre-deep canyon of crystal clear mountain stream is a large draw to the area, attracting climbers, swimmers, and kayakers. There are several trails to explore, and a number of lookout points with stunning vistas to appreciate. If you’re lucky, you may be able to spot some of the local wildlife, such as puma, condor, and even the occasional guanaco.
