📍 From Drone, United Kingdom
Burrow Mump rises above Burrowbridge, northeast of Bridgwater, beside the meeting of the rivers Tone and Parrett. Its isolated profile is especially striking against the flat fields, drainage channels and floodplains of the Somerset Levels. At the summit stands the roofless ruin of St Michael’s Church, whose stone walls and Gothic openings create a distinctive silhouette and frame wide views across the wetlands. The hill was given to the National Trust after the Second World War as a memorial to Somerset servicemen who died in the conflict. Reaching the ruin involves a short but steep grassy climb, with uneven ground around the summit.
