Burgruine Strahlenburg is a castle ruin in the small town of Schriesheim, Germany. It is perched atop a unique outcrop of quartzite and is a prominent landmark in the region. Built in 1320, the castle was altered and expanded several times before its destruction in 1707. Today, the ruinous walls and turrets are still standing and in quite good condition. Visitors can explore the ruin from multiple levels and climb up to the watchtower for spectacular views of the surrounding area.
