Burg Molyvos is a beautiful castle situated in the coastal village of Mithimna in Lesvos, Greece. It was built in the 13th century by members of the Gattilusi dynasty and was expanded over hundreds of years. Burg Molyvos has several towers, walls and a gatehouse, and the path up to it offers stunning views of the Aegean Sea. Visitors can explore the interior of the castle, wandering among the ancient structures, curious cathedral chambers and terraced gardens. Keep an eye out for several artworks, including wall paintings, sculptures and an original 16th-century organ.
