The Brug van Vroenhoven is one of the oldest and most impressive bridges in Belgium, located in Riemst. It was built in 1568, and it features 16 arches that are made out of limestone and sandstone. Its classical architecture, which has been well preserved, makes it a beautiful site to visit. The bridge is also an important part of the local history, being used as an escape route during World War II. Nowadays, it has become a popular spot for sightseeing and photography, along with a stopover during bicycle rides. It is worth noting that the bridge spans over the Zenne River, offering amazing views of the area. There is also a local river beach nearby so visitors can relax at the water.
