The bridge at Riemer See forms part of Riemer Park in Messestadt Riem, eastern Munich. The park and artificial lake were created during the redevelopment of the former Munich-Riem Airport site and shaped for the 2005 Federal Garden Show. Its clean, modern lines reflect the planned character of this new urban landscape, where broad lawns, paths and recreational water replaced runways. From the bridge, the lake’s open surface creates strong reflections and uncluttered compositions, while walkers, cyclists and swimmers add a distinctly local sense of everyday life.
