The Brooklyn Bridge is a National Historic Landmark in the United States which spans the East River connecting Manhattan and Brooklyn. Designed by the prolific bridge-building engineer John Roebling, the Brooklyn Bridge was built in 1883. Its design was revolutionary at the time for its steel-wire suspension, representing a major engineering advance over masonry arch bridges. The bridge's large Gothic towers and its modern design are quite impressive - making it a sublime backdrop for photoshoots. Its walkway provides excellent views of the city skyline - especially at four points: from the Manhattan Bridge, the middle of the bridge, from middle of the bridge to Manhattan and from the edge of Brooklyn.
