Brighton West Pier is the most iconic symbol of Brighton and Hove. It is an amazing iron structure that juts out onto the beach. It is often used as the backdrop in photographs of the area due to its classic Victorian architecture and popularity as a tourist destination. Visitors can walk along its 250 meters length, admiring its rusting remains, with columns, towers and the entrance canopy still visible. It has been abandoned since 1975 and is now declared a Grade I listed building. Despite being in a state of decay, it is still a beautiful place for visitors to explore and admire the sea views.
