Breogán is one of the most iconic monuments marking the city of A Coruña in Spain. The Monumento Breogán was inaugurated in 1973 and was designed by the architect Natalio Abilleira. It is based on the Celtic culture of Galicia and was meant to commemorate King Breoghan, founder of the city. It consists of a 27 meter tall bronze statue that stands on a 60 meter high plinth. At the feet of King Breoghan stands a 14m bronze statue of Cunchil, who is the symbol of the Celtic culture in Galicia. Also, statues of a giant and three soldiers surround the monument. This iconic monument stands as the symbol of the Celtic culture of Galicia. It is a great place to visit and take photos.
