Braunfels castle is a medieval castle situated in the town of Braunfels in Germany. It was originally built in the 12th century, with extensions being added in the 16th and 17th centuries. The castle has a rich history with it being destroyed, rebuilt and modernised several times over the centuries. Today the castle is open to visitors and makes for an interesting visit. The interior is filled with various historical artifacts and some modern exhibitions. There are also beautiful views of the nearby landscape from the castle walls.
