Bourscheid Castle is a Luxembourgish medieval castle ruin dating back to the 11th century. It is built on a rocky outcrop overlooking the River Sûre, and was the ancestral seat of the Counts of Luxembourg, who ruled the area until 1353. The castle is most known for its impressive keep, the inner bailey, and its two outer walls which are still standing today. Bourscheid Castle offers a stunning view of the surrounding landscape, and is widely regarded as one of Luxembourg's most impressive medieval fortresses. Visitors can explore the outer walls and take in the spectacular view at the top of the castle. The castle is also a popular spot for hikers and nature lovers, as it is surrounded by a scenic forest. Access to the castle is free and it is open to the public during daylight hours. There is also a small museum located at the entrance.
