Grand Canyon National Park, USA is one of the most visited and photographed natural wonders in the world. Located mainly in Arizona, the stunning canyon is 277 miles long and up to 18 miles wide. It is almost a mile deep, with layers of colorful rocks that were laid down over millions of years. The Colorado River and its tributaries cut through the canyon and offer stunning 360-degree views of its precipitous cliffs. Activities for tourists and photographers include camping, hiking, night sky photography, river rafting, mule and horseback rides, and more. Other attractions include three different national monuments within the canyon's boundaries, numerous archaeological sites, and the ancient Anasazi ruins of the Puebloans.
