Bondi Beach is a broad crescent of sand in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, framed by rocky headlands and backed by a dense strip of cafés, apartments and surf culture. Its rolling Pacific swell, lifeguard towers and year-round mix of swimmers, surfers and sunbathers create the lively scene most associated with the area. From the southern end, the Bondi Icebergs ocean pool adds strong geometric lines and vivid blue water against the open sea, while the coastal path toward Tamarama reveals elevated views across the full curve of the bay. Early light reaches the beach from across the ocean, bringing out the sandstone textures and long shoreline reflections.
