📍 From Tanawha Trail, United States
The Blue Ridge Parkway is a 469 mile-long highway that connects two national parks in the USA - the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Shenandoah National Park. It winds its way through the majestic Appalachian Mountains, running alongside the Blue Ridge. With sweeping views from the peaks of the ridges to the valleys below, travelers can find plenty of places to explore and admire along the way. Wildlife enthusiasts will also find an abundance of birds, deer, and other animals throughout the park. The Blue Ridge Parkway is great for photography, especially for landscapes, roadside scenes, or wildlife. Sunrise or sunset is particularly beautiful here, as the morning and evening light casts a colorful glow over the peaks and valleys. There is much to explore and admire along the way, so a drive through here is definitely worth it.
