The Blue Grotto is a unique natural marvel located in Malta, Malta. The entrance to the grotto is through a small opening in the wall of a 60-foot-high, low lying limestone. The cave is lit up with an azure blue glow created by sunlight reflecting from the depths of the sea. This spectacular sight also hides a magical secret – an abundance of sea life, which is visible from an underwater observatory. It is a great place to admire breathtaking views from the shore with the likelihood of spotting a variety of birds and fascinating marine life. Swimming and snorkeling are popular activities for visitors. The best way to experience the Blue Grotto is via boat tours departing from nearby Dwejra Bay.
