Bisisthal is a beautiful mountain lake located in the depths of Muotathal and is an ideal spot for hikers and nature photographers. Situated at 1255m above sea level, the lake is wonderfully surrounded by intriguing alpine rocks, lush green meadows, ancient Swiss pine trees and snow-covered Alps.
In summer you can take a dip in the crystal blue water and enjoy a picnic by its shore. There are plenty of trails and paths to explore around the lake. Moreover, wildlife photography is especially popular here since you can spot a variety of animals, such as eagles, marmots and chamois. The area is accessible by public transport and is served by Muotathal-Bisisthal bus. There is also plenty of parking spaces near the lake.
