
Bishanyan Kaizhang Shengwang Temple is a picturesque & historical temple located in 碧山里, Taiwan. First constructed in 1594, the temple stands overlooking Huxi River and is well known for its theatrical domed roof decorated with yellow and green tiles, statues of Kings & Generals, and various decorative scrolls. Inside the temple, one can find a sculpture of an 8-point star surrounded by many intricately carved dragons. The temple walls are decorated with paintings illustrating the Chinese mythological stories of Eight Immortals, Buddha and four Heavenly Kings.
