Bilbao City Hall is a 19th century neo-gothic palace that is located in the heart of Bilbao, Spain. Built between 1888 and 1899, the building is an important example of 19th century Basque architecture. The palace was built with dark basalt stone, which gives it a unique appearance. The main entrance door is full of sculptures and it opens to a large inner courtyard. On the side of the building, an impressive five-story belltower is the most prominent feature. Inside, the City Hall is decorated with a mix of neoclassical, modern and regional motifs. Visitors to the City Hall can admire the inner courtyard, as well as the historical library, the Sala de los Pintores, and many other beautiful and interesting rooms. From the belltower, visitors can marvel at the impressive city views.
