The Big Buddha is a must-see attraction if you are traveling to Nha Trang, Vietnam. Situated on top of the 258-meter-high (846 feet) mountain of Vongprovay, the 39-meter (128 feet) tall statue stands tall overlooking the whole city. The Big Buddha is a symbol of faith in Buddhism and was built in 2002 using donations from the local people. It is a very popular attraction with visitors and the surrounding area is one of the best spots to take in the beautiful views of Nha Trang. Visitors can also climb the steps to the top of the statue and take in the views from the top. There is a temple complex next to the statue and visitors can also explore its peaceful areas.
