Bibliothèque François-Mitterrand is the national library of France. Located in the XIIIth arrondissement of Paris, it is one of the largest libraries in the city with its 125,000 m² surface area. Built in the late 20th century, the building features four towers at its corners and is considered an impressive modern style building that stands out in its surrounding landscape. The library's interior boasts an impressive collection of books, over 11 million in number, and other documents, along with an exhibition space, a theatre and an auditorium. Visitors can also enjoy the view from an observation terrace on the top of the towers. The library offers free admission, and there are guided tours available only on the weekends. Whether you are a history buff, a bookworm, or just an admirer of modern architecture, Bibliothèque François-Mitterrand is worth a visit.
