The Biblioteca del Castello di Chantilly is one of the most beautiful libraries in France and an essential tourist attraction in the Chantilly area. Built between 1786 and 1788 by the Duke of Aumale, son of Louis-Philippe I, King of the French, the library houses over 35,000 volumes that power this cultural heritage. The books range from a complete copy of Charlemagne's 9th century bible, to Dante's La Divina Commedia and poetry collections from the 16th century. With its ornate neo-classical décor and unique atmosphere, visiting the Biblioteca del Castello di Chantilly is a must for any traveler. It is open to the public from March to November, for a moderate fee.
