Betlis Chapel (Betliser Kapell) is a small chapel situated high up in the Swiss Alps, near the village of Amden. Built in 1685, it has become an iconic symbol of the region, drawing in visitors to admire its rustic beauty and spectacular view of the Alps. From the chapel, visitors can hike around the nearby alpine meadows, taking in the breathtaking view of towering mountains, lush valleys, and glacial lakes in the distance. The chapel itself is small but piled with historic charm. Inside the chapel, visitors will find a centuries old bell, which is rung weekly. On a clear day, those standing in the chapel will enjoy an unobstructed view of some of the most spectacular mountain ranges in the world.
