📍 From Stadtgraben / Königsallee, Germany
The Bergischer Löwe (Monument) is located in the historic city of Düsseldorf in Germany. It is one of the city’s most important landmarks and first appeared in the 19th century when the coat of arms of Berg County was recreated using bronze plates. The monument stands at an impressive 12 meter high, 3 meters wide and symbolizes the rivalry between the city of Düsseldorf and it's neighbour Cologne. The Bergischer Löwe offers an unforgettable sight and a great photo opportunity, day or night. The monument has been reconstructed to its original condition, with the neon-illuminated eyes shining bright into the night sky. For tourists interested in the German history, a visit to the Bergischer Löwe is not to be missed.
