The Benjamin Franklin Bridge is an iconic toll bridge that spans the Delaware River between Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Camden, New Jersey. Built in 1926, it is one of the most recognizable architectural landmarks in the region. The main span is a spectacular feat of engineering and stretches 1,750 feet in length. The bridge has six lanes and provides a route for both vehicle and pedestrian travel. For pedestrians, a wide promenade along the bridge offers unparalleled views of the Delaware River and skyline of Philadelphia, as well as an up close look of the beautiful Art Deco exterior of the bridge. On both the Philadelphia and Camden sides of the bridge, nearby parks feature marked trails for those looking to continue their exploration.
