The Benjamin Franklin Bridge is a suspension bridge that spans the Delaware River between Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Camden, New Jersey. It is considered one of the most iconic landmarks of Philadelphia, and the longest suspension bridge for automobile traffic in the world (as of 2004). Built in 1926–1927, the bridge is named in honor of Benjamin Franklin, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States.

With a total length of 8,046 feet (2454 meters), the bridge carries I-676/US 30 as a four lane highway. It connects I-76/US 40 in Philadelphia with I-476/NJ Turnpike in Camden. The bridge also includes a pedestrian walkway which runs along the upper deck offering one of the most remarkable views of Philadelphia’s skyline. The city is incredibly beautiful, and especially when illuminated in the evening.
