📍 Japan
Fuji Television Headquarters stands in Odaiba, the waterfront district of Minato City built on reclaimed land in Tokyo Bay. Designed by architect Kenzo Tange and completed in the 1990s, it is one of the area’s defining landmarks and a bold expression of late-20th-century Japanese architecture. Its most recognizable feature is the large silver sphere set within an exposed structural grid, surrounded by elevated walkways, geometric voids, and metallic façades. The building houses broadcast studios and offices, while its public spaces connect the television network with visitors. Wide approaches reveal the structure’s scale and symmetry, and surrounding viewpoints can frame it against Odaiba’s open sky, waterfront towers, and the Rainbow Bridge.
