Beartooth Highway
📍 United States
The Beartooth Highway is a 68-mile stretch of road traversing Montana and Wyoming's Shoshone National Forest and Custer Gallatin National Forest. It is also known as "the most beautiful highway in America" and carries travelers past stunning views of glacier-carved peaks, pristine alpine lakes, dense forests and wildflower-covered meadows. Along the journey, travelers will have the chance to experience the thrill of driving on the highest elevation highway in the northern Rockies, at 10,947 feet, as well as some of the most breathtaking views in the United States. If they're lucky, they might even see a few grizzlies, moose, marmots and other wild animals. The highway is maintained by the National Park Service, and campgrounds line the route, offering the perfect spot to rest.
