The Bayon Temple is an awe-inspiring temple complex located in the ancient city of Krong Siem Reap, Cambodia. Built in the late 12th century, the temple is famous for its giant, 54-tower architecture featuring over 200 remarkable and serene giant carved faces of Bodhisattvas, adorning each tower. The temple grounds have three levels, with the most impressive being the grand central area, where masterwork carvings of mythical creatures, lotus flowers and more are found. The temple also features four wrought iron entrances with intricate reliefs. Enjoy the tranquility of an early morning visit and explore the mystical staircase leading to the second level for a spectacular view of the entire complex. Don’t forget to bring a camera to capture the amazing beauty of this stunning destination.
