The Basilique du Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre is the prominent white-domed basilica that crowns Paris’s Montmartre hill, marking the city’s highest natural point and anchoring a historic artists’ neighborhood. Its Romano‑Byzantine massing — stacked domes, rounded arches and a tripartite façade — reads like a deliberate visual counterpoint to Gothic cathedral silhouettes elsewhere in Paris.
