Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar and Puente de Piedra in Zaragoza, Spain, are among the city’s most famous landmarks. The 12th century Basilica, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, is located on the banks of the Ebro river, and is home to a series of Baroque chapels, a magnificent bell tower and a fantastic view of the city. Its interior includes some exquisite works of art,including a 20th century mosaic depicting the Virgin Mary. On the other side of the river lies the 13th century Puente de Piedra (Stonebridge), which is renowned for its unusual arches and its decorative sculptures.
