Santiago's wealthy Barrio Paris - Londres is an historic neighborhood dotted with cobblestone streets and beautiful houses. The neighborhood—nicknamed Paris-Londres for its proximity to Santiago’s own version of the iconic Parisian Arc de Triomphe—serves as an important journey back in time for anyone interested in the area’s history.
The beautiful neighborhood is full of patio houses, colourful painted walls, traditional balconies and tiled brick houses, while Church of San Francisco is the major sight here, with a bell tower dating back to 1790 and a gorgeous facade covered in intricate sculptures. Additionally, street art can be found in many parts of the area, turning both old and new walls into works of art. There are also many cafés, several small theaters and galleries, and cute little courtyards to explore. Barrio Paris-Londres is also close to many of Santiago’s best restaurants and boutique stores.
