Located in Chambles, France, Barrage de grangent is a dam built in the Loire Valley between 1937 and 1945. The barrage first served agricultural and industrial purposes and today, the lake that is created by the dam is used for sports and recreation activities, as well as a nature reserve. The structure, with its elegant arc, is over 300 meters long and 50 meters high. It is a popular spot to view the Loire Valley. Visitors can walk through the lush forest and take in the stunning views. Birdwatchers can spot various species such as ducks and swans, while anglers can come here to catch pike and perch. There is also a picnic area, with tables and benches, where you can enjoy a peaceful outdoor meal.
