The Barrage de Grangent barrage is located in Saint-Just-Saint-Rambert, France and is a great spot to explore the Loire river. The dam was built in 1906 by the Compagnie des Salines de Lavo没te-Chilhac to regulate the water level of the Loire river and help with the navigation. It also has a bridge, a motorway bridge and a small road bridge, to access both sides of the Loire valley. The Barrage de Grangent is quite a tranquil place to visit, allowing visitors to enjoy the calmness of the Loire river. There are several walking paths around the area, where visitors can explore the spectacular scenery and wildlife. The barrage is also home to a variety of wild birds, including ducks, herons, cormorants and egrets. The Loire river and the barrage itself also provide a great spot for watersports, such as kayaking and fishing.
