Barkhamsted Reservoir Dom is an amazing place located in Barkhamsted, United States. Spanning an area of 33.3 sq kilometers, this vast reservoir is one of the largest manmade bodies of water in the world. Boating, kayaking, fishing, and swimming are just some of the activities visitors can enjoy at the reservoir. There are several waterfalls located around the shoreline, and plentiful wildlife to be spoted. Apart from that, many interesting hiking trails run through the surrounding countryside, some of them leading to the base of Pedestal Rocks, a set of huge earth pillars. Given that the reservoir is a popular spot for photographers, it is wise to come early in the morning or late in the afternoon to get the best light.
