Bank of Montreal Museum

The Bank of Montreal Museum is a great place to learn about the history of the oldest bank in Canada. At the museum, visitors can explore the heritage of over two centuries of service. Through interactive exhibits and multimedia presentations, the museum highlights the importance of the bank in Canada’s economic and industrial development. The museum also features a number of artifacts from the bank’s early years, including money and jewelry from the 1800s. In addition, the exhibits include the development of banks in other countries and educational activities about banking, economics and Canadian history. Guided tours, workshops and events are available to visitors, as well. The museum is located in the old Montreal offices of the Bank of Montreal, in an area of the city designated a National Historic Site of Canada.
