The Benjamin Franklin Bridge is an iconic suspension bridge connecting Camden, New Jersey to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is one of the longest suspension bridges in the world, standing at 2,375 m (7,800 feet). Constructed in 1926, it is the world's oldest suspension bridge still carrying vehicular traffic. The bridge has seven traffic lanes, a pedestrian-bicycle lane, and connects to the I-76 expressway in Pennsylvania and the US Highway 130 in New Jersey. The bridge has spectacular views of downtown Philadelphia, and is a popular spot to view fireworks on the Fourth of July. Located on the National Register of Historic Places, the bridge is a popular destination for sightseers and photographers.
