The Baloiço de Penalobo is a photogenic suspension bridge in the city of Sabugal, Portugal. Dating back to the early 19th century, the bridge was built in with the intention of connecting the frontenç district of the city to the area opposite the river. Its 93 foot-high arch and ending points make excellent photographic opportunities. Construction of the bridge was funded by the Estanislau de Penalobo de Montes, who in 1834 donated 1,500,000 réis for this purpose. A commemorative plaque, located on the center of the bridge, serves as a reminder of his valuable contribution. The bridge has an impressive span of 160 meters, and its speed, beauty and form are marvelous sights. Visitors can explore all of its sides, marvel at the incredible view and find out more about its history. The Baloiço de Penalobo is certainly worth a visit for any photographer.
