Baldwin Beach is a broad stretch of pale sand on Maui’s north shore, just west of Paia, a former plantation town beside the Hana Highway. Its open Pacific frontage contrasts with the smaller, reef-sheltered waters of Baby Beach at the western end. Ironwood trees line parts of the shore, while the West Maui Mountains give depth to views looking west along the coastline. The beach’s recognizable visual character comes from the long sweep of sand, turquoise water, and breaking surf rather than a built-up waterfront. Wide compositions capture that coastal scale; closer views reveal the textures of wind-shaped sand and foamy shorebreak.
