Ayaz Kala and Ayaz-Kala Fortress is located in the Kyzyl-Kum Desert of Uzbekistan, near the city of Nukus. It is a Bronze Age fortress with 5 m-high walls and three square fortifications. Archaeologists believe the nearby necropolis contains graves of rulers from the Kushan Dynasty (1st - 3rd centuries AD). The locally made adobe fortications are of great historical significance, and its unique structure and beautiful surroundings make it an ideal place to explore for travelers and photographers. Visitors should note that the site is accessible mainly by four-wheel-drive vehicles, and it is not served by public transportation.
