Avala Tower is an iconic monument of Belgrade's skyline. It was built in 1965, and was the highest structure in the former Yugoslavia. The tower stands at the top of the hill known as Avala Mountain, making it an extraordinary point of interest overlooking the Serbian capital. Its viewing platform provides an incredible view of the flatlands of the Vojvodina plain, as well as much of the city of Belgrade and its surrounding mountains. It’s also a popular spot to capture some stunning night shots of the city.
