Atlit Pier is situated near the city of Atlit, on the Mediterranean Sea, in the Haifa district, Israel. It is a historically significant pier, where the British navy used to dock during the time of Mandatory Palestine. The famous castle of Atlit is located just opposite of the pier. This spot is quite popular with locals and tourists, as it gives a great overview of the city and provides some beautiful views of the sea. There are many benches on the pier for taking a pleasant stroll and several restaurants, cafés and convenience stores nearby. The nearest beach is at Atlit Yitzhak Rabin National Park, just a few kilometers from the pier. Near the beach there are also some interesting archeological sites worth visiting. Visitors can get a taste of local life and culture at the markets held in the city square, one of the main highlights of a visit to the pier. Finally, night photography is possible at this spot, making it a truly unique location.
