Atlin Mountain is located in Atlin, British Columbia, Canada, on the edge of the vast Atlin Taku wilderness. This mountain offers a stunning view of the Atlin Lake far below and the surrounding mountain ranges. With a summit elevation of 9,937 feet, the peak provides amazing panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains. From the peak you can even peek into British Columbia's Yukon Territory. The slopes of Atlin Mountain are composed mainly of granite, some areas featuring lichen-covered cave-like formations, which makes the hike to the summit quite an enjoyable experience. The trail to the summit can also provide an interesting photography experience, with beautiful wildflowers as well as wildlife such as marmots, mountain goats, and eagles, making this area popular among photographers of all levels. Hiking to the summit takes around 4-6 hours, with a starting elevation of about 1,600 feet.
