Atlantis Paradise Island is a sprawling resort complex on Paradise Island in the Bahamas, across Nassau Harbour from the capital on New Providence. Its coral-pink Royal Towers, linked high above the ground by the Bridge Suite, give the resort its distinctive silhouette. The architecture draws on the mythical lost city of Atlantis, using monumental arches and marine-inspired ornament to create a fantasy setting rather than a historic Bahamian townscape. That theme continues in The Dig, an aquarium attraction presented as the submerged ruins of the imagined civilization. Beaches, lagoons and the Aquaventure water park surround the buildings, contrasting their elaborate forms with palms and turquoise water. Views across the lagoons emphasize the paired towers and elevated bridge, while shoreline perspectives reveal the resort’s scale beside the Atlantic.
