
The Art & Fun District (also known as Catania’s Historical Center) – is a popular spot in Catania, Italy, with its mix of art, culture and vibrant life. Visiting the district, tourists will be able to explore the ancient locals, romantic alleys and picturesque courtyards. The district is the home to numerous churches, palaces and even a theatre for opera performances. One of the main attractions is the Baroque Fontana dell'Elefante, a statue of an elephant that dates from 1736, typical of Catania. Many notable museums are also located in the district, including the Giuseppe Di Stefano Museum and the Palazzo Biscari Museum, which contain collections of artworks from the 16th to the 19th centuries. Nightlife here is just as varied and interesting, with plenty of restaurants, bars and pubs to suit everyone’s taste.
