📍 From Inside, Canada
Arsenal Contemporary Art Montréal is a privately run contemporary art centre in Griffintown, a historically industrial neighbourhood southwest of downtown Montréal. It occupies a former shipyard building, linking the area’s manufacturing past with its contemporary cultural life. Changing exhibitions feature Canadian and international artists, while lofty ceilings and expansive interior spaces accommodate large-scale works and installations. The building’s industrial proportions are an important part of the visual experience: wide interior views show how individual artworks occupy—and sometimes transform—the vast space.
