The Arco della Pace (Arc of Peace) is a Neoclassical triumphal arch located in Milan, Italy. This impressive monument was constructed between 1778 and 1785, by architect Luigi Cagnola, at the behest of the Austrian Emperor Joseph II. The arch stands as a symbol of the peace between Austria and Italy, which held since 1759.

The Arco della Pace stands at the entrance of Parco Sempione, a beautiful open space in the heart of Milan. The arch is decorated with carvings and sculpted figures, representing emblems such as faith, hospitality and abundance. The interior is also nicely ornamented, with eight friezes by Cagnola himself, depicting war scenes. At the top, visitors can find a bronze group of figures, representing Austria, Italy, France and honor. A popular activity in the park is to take a relaxing walk through its gardens, while enjoying the beautiful views of the arc. The arch can be safely admired from the opposite side of the square, or from a nearby bridge. Milan's historical center is located just minutes away.
